About Blake
Blake Stephens
Blake Stephens is absent in presence, but not spirit from Experience Momentum for the next 3 years (August 2010-August 2013). He is attending graduate school at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota attaining his Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree. Blake is a man who is passionate about everything he does. He is an avid outdoorsman; enjoying activities like snowboarding, body boarding, tennis, hockey and mountain biking. His "indoor" pursuits include painting, drawing and training. We look forward to his return to Experience Momentum!
Blake, a National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Personal Trainer, has more than youth on his side. He graduated from Seattle Pacific University in 2010, with honors, in a pre-med fellowship program earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology. Blake has had a passion for helping others for many years and was the first "official" EM employee. He will be missed around the wellness center for three years (until 2013) as he completes his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at MAYO clinic in oh so cold Minnesota.
Blake is an accomplished athlete. He played hockey at the Junior A & B level and was forced to end his career early due to three major injuries. Blake's philosophy of training to return from major injuries was put to the test and as a result, moved on to sharing what he knows and experienced through his three recoveries with others. He has extensive knowledge in athletic training which has provided him the opportunity to work as a speed and agility coach for area athletes in the sports of soccer, football and hockey.
Blake's passion for working with people also extends far beyond our local boundaries. He has spent the last two years participating in medical missions to such places as Haiti and Cambodia. He worked along side physician's performing a variety of medical tasks that have helped the people of each of these regions receive the care that they needed. We have no doubt that Blake will once again find himself beyond our borders once he has graduated from PT school.
